Jeff Williams, slave and clone of a slave, is employed on a star ship caring for captured creatures destined for an alien menagerie. Yet the cloning process allows him to retain memory all the way back to when he was human. Into this unchanging life of drudgery, which is all he has known for centuries, comes a wind of change. He finds himself building a friendship with one of his captors, and as change accelerates, he becomes increasingly confused as his past begins to intrude more and more into his life. Torn between loyalty to a friend and his desire for freedom, his story builds to a climax as he comes to doubt all he once held as true. The revelations that follow sweep him along, resulting in experiences that are beyond his imagining, including that legendary state, freedom. cindy sprigg - Sep 3, 2011 7:57 AM
*Please note, I don't feel this was a bad book and a good story line as far as first books go. But as many authors that have made the mistake of using P.A to publish their books....they rip you off for your royalties. Although a simple web search will show you that there are several used copies of this book out there for sale, I am continuously set e-mails saying that there have been no books sold...So if you decide to purchase a copy of this book, just remember, that all of that HIGH PRICE goes directly to Publish America! Please see the following http://sinthyiadarkness.blogspot.com/p/publishamerica-investigative-report.html
