This is the fourth in the "Dark Corners" collection of short stories. This volume contains three stories, previously released on kindle individually:
THE SENTINEL
The old Wino slumped against the back wall of "The Gulping Frog" pub.
To look at him, no one would think that Mick was once a successful, young man, soon to marry the girl of his dream and planning a family.
Then horror destroyed his dreams, leaving him a shattered hulk.
Now he is dedicated only to the bottle and to his role as sentinel, warning those who pass of the terror that lurks nearby.
IS IT A GHOST STORY YOU WANT?
"Is it a ghost story you want?" asked the old woman of a group of friends gathered in "The Gulping Frog" pub.
They agree and as she spins a tale of ancient evil, brooding over millennia, plotting revenge.
They start to wonder,"Is this story, fact or fiction?"
CHANGES
In the depth of space, an old civilization is destroyed. The only trace that remains are a cloud of microscopic spores, dissipated on the cosmic wind.
In time, some of these spores fall to planetary surfaces, and if the conditions are right, they grow, taking over all in their path.
